Jacquelyn Joy writes travel romance with a healthy dose of spice, bringing her readers love abroad, rich settings, transformative experiences and happy endings.

An avid traveller since the age of sixteen when she experienced life in the USA as an exchange student, Jacquelyn has taken every opportunity to travel and live abroad.  There is something about a rowdy horde of international exchange students teaching each other profanities and how to say ‘I love you’ in a multitude of languages that inspires a desire for travel.

Jacquelyn enjoys travel romance stories in which stunning locations and unique experiences play a starring role, pushing the characters’ boundaries and revealing their true selves.

Characters learn about others as they embrace a new culture. Its people, in turn, welcome and surround the lead characters with the heart and spirit of the culture, its food, music and traditions.

These stories remind us of our own quest for connection and belonging and how it can be found anywhere and as easily as sharing a meal. 

Jacquelyn’s time spent teaching English in Taiwan inspired her latest work in progress, The Unlikely Teacher, a travel adventure rom com.
